At HerPath Education, we champion women in higher education by providing coaching that helps them unlock their potential and rise into impactful leadership roles.
This book is rooted in my own personal experiences and written with the hope of sharing the inspirational tools that helped me heal and rebuild. After being laid off, I realized how deeply my identity was tied to my career—something many women experience but rarely talk about.
A career setback doesn’t define you, but how you move forward can change everything.
Created by Dana Tate, M.Ed., following a career loss in higher education, this guided journal supports you in processing change, rebuilding confidence, and clarifying your next steps. Through reflective prompts, encouragement, and practical guidance, it helps you reset, reclaim your sense of purpose, and move forward with confidence.
Your journey forward starts here.
I’m Dana Tate, a leadership coach specializing in higher education leadership training and development. I partner with institutions to support leaders and teams through keynote speaking, engaging team-building experiences, and practical leadership development. I also offer resume and cover letter reviews to support career advancement within and beyond higher education.
Unlocking potential begins with believing there is more ahead. This space is an invitation to grow, reflect, and rediscover what’s possible to come. Welcome to the journey—your next chapter starts here.
I'm an educator and leader who understands what it means when life doesn’t go as planned. After nearly two decades in higher education, I experienced both a near-fatal car accident and an unexpected career loss that forced me to pause and reflect on who I was beyond my title.
Writing became a way to heal, regain clarity, and rediscover purpose. That journey led to the creation of HerPath Education LLC, a consulting and coaching company designed to support women, especially those in higher education, through transition, growth, and reinvention.
HerPath Education exists to help individuals and teams reflect, rebuild, and move forward with intention—because starting over doesn’t mean starting from scratch.
